Deana Baker, Certified Veterinary Technician
Deana has worked at Lifetime Small Animal Hospital since 1991. She has an Associate of Applied Science degree in veterinary technology, as well as a B.S. and A.S. in other animal science related fields. Some of Deana's duties include anesthesia induction and monitoring, animal nursing, emergency treatment and triage, laboratory evaluations, and behavior consultations.
The furred, feathered, and finned beasties rule Deana's life. She lives with three dogs that she competes with in obedience trials, one cat, birds and fish.
Deana is a member of the National Association of Veterinary Technicians of America (NAVTA), and the Wyoming Veterinary Technician Association.
Jackie Van Noy, Certified Veterinary Technician
Jackie started working at Lifetime Small Animal Hospital in 2000. She returned to school in 2001 and earned an Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology. Her various duties include anesthesia, laboratory analysis, radiology, dental procedures, and assisting with surgical procedures.
She currently owns cats and fish.
Jackie is currently the President of the Wyoming Veterinary Technician Association.
Verna Ward, Groomer
Verna has been working here at Lifetime Small Animal Hospital since July, 2001. She received her education through the hospital and JTPA. As the groomer, Verna does her best to make each animal she grooms look nice and be more practical for its owner.
Verna enjoys reading, doing a variety of craftwork, and curling up on the couch to watch a good movie.
Jennifer Hankee
Jennifer joined us in 2009 and is working in multiple areas in the hospital. She can be found at the reception desk, or running the afternoon Doggie Daycare sessions. She is currently attending school to earn her Vet Tech degree and is helping the doctors and technicians as an assistant.
Mary Klein
Mary joined the hospital in 2009 as our morning kennel attendant. She has expaned her duties to include morning Doggie Daycare sessions and assisting the doctors and technicians with morning procedures and patient treatments.
Sam
Sam is the clinic cat. He enjoys visiting our clients and patients, and is a great babysitter for puppies and kittens.
Skanky
Once a feral cat with a very 'skanky' haircoat and a bad upper respiratory infection, this petite kitty won our hearts while recuperating from her spay operation and the respiratory infection. Her hair has grown back and she has gained weight, although she is still a 'size 2'. She can usually be found curled up with Sam, or sitting on a staff member's shoulder. Honestly, we've tried giving her a better name, but so far, she has ignored them all.
